ABOUT ANN COLEMAN
A student of art from an early age, Ann Coleman did her degree work at Salzburg College, Austria, the Salzburg Art Academy and Skidmore College where she received a BS in Studio Art. Since that time Ann has focused primarily on pastels and watercolors; her works have been displayed throughout the eastern U.S. A resident of a small community in southern Vermont, Ann indulges in other passions: skiing, sailing, cycling, swimming and flower gardening, which naturally show up as subjects of her vibrant paintings. Her works include an impressive array of finely detailed portraitures. Ann is always open to discussing new ideas for commissioned works.

In-home art shows to benefit your favorite charity:
Featuring work by Ann Coleman
How would you like to host a fun event in your Home? Office? Church?
The focus would be art with the additional benefit of raising funds for the charity of your choice.
Ann will transform your space into a gallery of work with her vibrant pastels and watercolors.
Hosts send out invites and provide simple refreshments and libations, the cost of which are tax deductible.
At the end of the event Ms. Coleman will write a check to the charity of choice based on a percentage of the sales transacted.
"God must have painted my genes - the artist in me has always been there. As a young student I was blessed with teachers who recognized my talent and helped me to develop it. I paint what moves me. Whether its water, skies, flowers, landscapes or people . . . Most often its color and light and the way nature is orchestrated that is my inspiration. I like to organize, compose and capsulize for that "Yes" feeling . I know I've gotten it when it works for my heart and my eye.
In 2007 Ann realized a life long dream and opened her own Gallery on West Main Street, in downtown Wilmington, Vermont where she displayed and sold her brilliant pastels. In August of 2011, Irene's flood water's swept away her entire newly renovated gallery and all it's contents, art included.
Ann Continues to live and make art in the Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley area of Vermont where she shows locally. Her focus is: Local Vermont Scenes, Landscapes, and Gardens images. She features Originals & Archivial Limited Edition Giclee Prints.
She dreams of the day when she can have her Ann Coleman "Ark" Gallery built that she hired Linesync Architecture and Steven's Engineering to design her, for the floodplain.
